SUMMARY
The Technology Systems Analyst is responsible for providing technology systems analysis, design, installation, maintenance, and modification of a broad range of systems. Typical responsibilities include: maintaining both applications and hardware; performing system trouble shooting; meeting with end-users to define business needs; as well as performing technical analysis design, installation, maintenance, and modification of all MHRSB technology systems. Reports to the Director of Technology, Strategic Planning and Quality.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides technology systems analysis and project management for technology systems implementations, which may include: designing products, coding, testing, implementing, reporting, reviewing finished products, and tracking performance.
- Analyzes business process issues and/or problems and provides consulting assistance to system users; conducts research on possible solutions and makes recommendations based on findings; develops proposals that outline feasibility and costs; suggests, designs, tests, implements, and evaluates solutions.
- Monitors technology systems to ensure system integrity and security, which may include: duplicating and backing up data, managing user accounts and authorizations, maintaining software security, and/or performing other related activities.
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and upgrades technology systems infrastructures.
- Monitors, maintains, and upgrades applicable technology systems, researching end-user system issues, performing upgrades and maintenance, and deploying system modifications.
- Acts as backup Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) system administrator.
- Writes and maintains user report programs based on the needs of internal customers.
- Provides technical end-user technical support, including researching user complaints, researching issues, answering technical questions, and/or assisting with application revisions.
- Develops a variety of applications, interfaces, procedures and reports.
- Maintains a variety of records and/or documentation for assigned area of responsibility.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. Three to five years of experience in application and system analysis and design. A successful individual in this position will work as a team player for providing technical analysis, design, installation, maintenance, and modification of a broad range of computer systems supporting Board operations. Completing assigned tasks and deliverables in a timely and thorough manner is essential. Willingness to work with others, and use collaboration as a key tool in Technology Support Systems is critical. An employee in this position may be required to occasionally lift, move and/or set-up stacks of documents such as training binders or paper materials, lap-top computers, in-focus projectors, flip charts and other materials required for training sessions. Employee also required working for extended periods at a computer terminal.
